Blog Directly from Firefox Using ScribeFire
In addition to all the tools that can remind you of your blog, there is still another one!
ScribeFire (which was previously known as Performancing for Firefox) is a Firefox add-on for bloggers. it is a “full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog“. It opens a split panel (you can open it in a separate tab or window if you prefer) that is loaded with features: rich/source editing, live preview, the ability to add and mange multiple blogs, tags, posts, pages and notes. In addition, text, images and links can all be easily dragged and dropped into this great extension. It supports Blogger, WordPress, LiveJournal, TypePad and even Windows Live Spaces.
This add-on is simply amazing. You should really give it a try. It will make your life easier (blogging life, that is!)

How Addicted to Blogging Are You?
Well, it seems that my blog survived the Web Crash 2007
. So, let us do something different today.
For the last couple of days, I was feeling that I had blog addiction. I needed some numerical value to see how severe my addiction was. Today, I stumbled upon this site. So, I took the quiz, and my result was (take a deep breath):

64%?! I think that I need more practice! ![]()

WordPress.. WordPress Everywhere
Wherever I go inside my PC, I can find something related to my WordPress blog!
Normally, I check my blog using Firefox:
Sometimes, I write posts using Windows Live Writer:
I also have the WordPress gadget on my Windows Vista Sidebar:
In addition, I have the WordPress application on my Facebook account:
Isn’t this just too much?
To Blog Professionally, or Not to?
First of all, let me define what I mean by “blogging professionally“: To buy a host/domain, download and install WordPress, modify and configure some options and start blogging.
Although I’m new to the blogging world (this blog is less than a month old), I’m thinking about going pro. Before doing that, there are some questions that I need to answer:
1- Am I a “serious” blogger?
Yes, I think I am. Maybe I am not blogging about the things I like most (technology, computer science, …) enough but I’m certainly planning to do so. Moreover, I spend a considerable amount of time thinking about my blog(s).
2- Will I have the time to blog frequently?
For now yes, but I’m not sure about this after the summer. It will be my last semester as an undergraduate at KFUPM and I’ll have a senior project and stuff. So, I’m afraid that I won’t have the same amount of time that I spend blogging during this summer.
3-One blog or two? And if only one: Arabic or English?
I’ll probably stick with one (if managing one blog is time consuming, imagine the situation with two!). I’m more comfortable blogging in English, but I can’t Ignore Arabic: it’s my native language and many of my friends are more comfortable reading Arabic.
I have to make up my mind soon, because the more I wait, the harder it will be to go pro!
Windows Live Writer: A Tool for Bloggers
This would be my first post to write using Windows Live Writer (Beta 2). It is a desktop application that enables the user to publish posts to his/her blog.
Now you might think that because this program is from Microsoft, it would only support Windows Live Spaces. Surprisingly, it can publish to WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad and others!
As the case with other recent Microsoft products, the user interface is simply gorgeous. There are many useful features including: spell checker, WYSIWYG editor, inserting pictures, tables and maps (!).
Trying this program is worthwhile. It makes blogging a somewhat different experience.
